Yesterday, Argentina proclaimed their place in the Knockout Stages, after destroying Lewandowski’s Poland 2-0. Mac Allister and Alvarez starred, leading them into a 2-0 win. In the first half, Poland conceded a penalty after a head challenge between Szczesny and Messi. The Referee awarded a penalty to Argentina. Messi stepped up and Szczesny saved it with a brilliant arm on the ball. That wrapped up the first half between Poland and Argentina

Although in the second half, Poland’s defence broke apart, conceding 2 goals. After a brilliant cross from Molina, Mac Allister calmly slotted it past the keeper. Finally to wrap it up, Alvarez scored a superb curler into the Top Corner.

Argentina ended up with more possession with 73% beating Poland’s 27%. Argentina’s Alexis Mac Allister obtained the Man of the Match Award with a 8.24 Rating
