Yesterday, Manchester United cruised past Manchester City 2-1 in derby thriller. This game started with lots of chances for Manchester United, following shots from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. Although these chances were so easily created, Manchester City switched on again with a curling shot by Kyle Walker which went just wide. This should have been a warning sign for Man Utd because in the 60th minute, De Bruyne curled in a dangerous cross which was bundled in by Jack Grealish. That was his 2nd Premier League goal this season.
Suddenly, Manchester United switched on again. Casemiro slipped a pass into Bruno Fernandes who lashed it past Ederson. There were claims that Bruno Fernandes was offside but the goal stood. Manchester United attacked once again and finally got their reward. Garnacho swept a good ball into the box with was scored by Marcus Rashford. This kept up his goalscoring run.
Despite losing, Manchester City ended up with more possession of the ball than Manchester United with 71%, beating the Red Devils 29%. However that could change the score line or the Man of the Match Award.
Marcus Rashford acclaimed the Man of the Match Award yet again with a 8.54 rating. Man Utd next opponent will be against Crystal Palace away.
