On Saturday, Chelsea fought a tough game against Liverpool, which turned out to be goalless. Mudryk started his first game for Chelsea after being bought in the week. This game started with a goal for Chelsea after Thiago Silva hit the post which was eventually bundled in by Kai Havertz. Although, after having a look at it on VAR, the referee did not let the goal stand. After that drastic decision, Chelsea and Liverpool created lots of chances with Gakpo, Mudryk and Zakaria getting chances to go on the scoresheet. Unfortunately, that did not happen and both teams kept pressing till the final minute. Sadly, there was no win for Chelsea at Anfield. Despite drawing, Chelsea’s manager, Graham Potter said he was pleased with draw as it showed that they were improving. Anyway, Chelsea ended up with 53%, beating Liverpool’s 47%.Thiago Silva acclaimed the Man of the Match Award with a 6.31 rating. Chelsea will be playing against Fulham on the 3rd of February as they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City. Liverpool will be playing against Brighton in the 4th round of the FA Cup on the 29th January.
