Yesterday, Manchester City destroyed Wolves 3-0 with Erling Haaland getting a hat-trick to make 25 Premier League goals this season. This leapfrogged them back into 2nd place, 5 points behind the league leaders Arsenal. This game started with lots of chances for Manchester City, following shots from Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish. Sadly, they could not find that killer shot yet. In the 40th minute De Bruyne swooped in a fabulous cross which was headed in by Erling Haaland to mark 23 Premier League goals so far.

In the second half, Manchester City came with more chances. Soon after the second half started, Grealish went down in the penalty box. However, the referee did not award Man City with a penalty. Again, Manchester City kept pressing Wolves with a beautiful shot from Jack Grealish that was blocked. In the 50th minute, Man City finally got what they wanted. Ake slipped a ball into Gundogan who was fouled in the penalty box. This time the referee awarded the penalty. Erling Haaland stepped up and calmly slotted it past Jose Sa. This should have been a warning for Wolverhampton Wanderers because 4minutes after that goal, Jose Sa made a terrible mistake which led to Haaland putting the ball in the back of the Wolves net. Another shot came for City as Bernardo Silva crossed in and Gundogan headed other. That ended the game for both sides.

Manchester City ended up with 55% of the ball, beating Wolves 45%. The Man of the Match Award went to Erling Haaland with a 8.20 rating. Man City will be playing against Arsenal in the FA Cup 4th round, along with Wolves playing against Liverpool in the Premier League as they were knocked out by them in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
