Yesterday, Everton faced Liverpool at Anfield Stadium. Liverpool beat them 2-0 to brighten the hearts of the Liverpool fans after having a bad start in 2023. This game started with chances for both sides, but not one of the teams could find a goal in the opening 30 minutes. Although, in the 36th minute Liverpool came alive. After a dastardly chance for Everton, Liverpool hit forward on the counter attack, with Mohamed Salah finishing the goal up. It got worse for Everton when Robertson went on a sailing run to Trent Alexander Arnold, who found Gakpo, who calmly tapped it home. The game carried on with chances for Liverpool to score but sadly nobody could the ball in the net after chances for Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool ended up with 59%, beating Everton’s 41%. The Man of the Match Award went to Stefan Bajcetic with a 8.25 rating. Liverpool will be playing against Real Madrid in the Champions League on the 21st of February.
