On Saturday, Manchester City faced Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. They battered them 4-1 to keep the pressure on Arsenal for the Premier League title. This game started in the 15th minute after controversy when Haaland hit the bar. However, this was calmly slotted in by Alvarez on the rebound. It got worse for Bournemouth, when Foden made a moment of magic as he found Erling Haaland who gave the keeper no chance. This was his 27th league goal of the season. Just before halftime, Bournemouth came out with another mistake, which led to Foden slotting the ball past the keeper.

It certainly wasn’t Bournemouth’s day. In the 51st minute, Alvarez hit a swerving shot which deflected of Bournemouth defender Mbemba into the back of the net. It counted as a own goal. Despite conceding 4 goals, Lerma managed to score to give Bournemouth hope. As the whistle blew, the score was 1-4 to Man City.

Manchester City ended up with 66%, beating Bournemouth’s 34%. The Man of the Match Award went to Phil Foden after his fabulous performance. Man City will be facing Bristol City in the FA Cup 5th Round on Tuesday with Bournemouth facing Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.

MATCH OF THE WEEK: Aston villa 1-0 man city

Aston Villa beat Manchester City on Sunday to win their 4th consecutive win. In a tight match Matty Cash scored a spectacular volley from a corner and the Villains did brilliantly throughout to stop Erling Haaland and Man City.
