On Saturday Manchester City faced Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium. They stormed into a 2-0 win with Foden and Bernardo Silva getting on the scoresheet. This game started with a close chance for City when Gundogan headed just over the bar. This should have been a warning sign for Newcastle, because in the 15th minute Phil Foden set off on a spectacular solo run and calmly placed the ball past Nick Pope. That was 4 goals in 3 appearances for him. Newcastle came with a chance but they knew it would not keep up with Manchester City’s goalscoring form. For the rest of the game, Manchester City and Newcastle came up with a lot of chances. But there only could be one winner. In the 67th minute Haaland found Silva who sweetly struck the ball past the goalkeeper. That represented the end of the game.

Manchester City ended up with 56% with Newcastle making 44% of possession. The Man of the Match Award went to Phil Foden after his fabulous performance. Manchester City will be playing against RB Leipzig in the Champions League. Newcastle will be playing against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in the Premier League. Who will win? We will find out soon enough.
