Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.co.uk. Today I will be talking about Manchester City thrashing over Nottingham Forest. The game started with a chance for Manchester City when Julian Alvarez hit a teasing free-kick that was smacked away by the gloves of the Forest goalkeeper. This turned out to be a turning point for Man City. In the 7th minute, Kyle Walker passed to Phil Foden, who volleyed it past Matt Turner. 1-0! The Sky blues doubled their lead when Matheus Nunes crossed the ball in to Haaland who headed it into the top corner. 2-0! Man City nearly made it 3-0 when Doku passed to Alvarez whose shot was blocked.
Early in the second half, Manchester City went down to 10 men after Rodri punched Gibbs-White in the face leading to a red card for the Man City midfielder. The Citizens had another chance to score when Nathan Ake passed to Haaland who blazed it over. At the end of the match, Elanga hit a beautiful volley that was saved by the gloves of Ederson.
