The game started with a chance for Tottenham when Kulusevski passed to Son who dribbled inside the penalty box before releasing a shot that was saved by Turner. Spurs created another chance when Kulusevski drifted through the Forest defence before finding Brennan Johnson whose shot was saved by Turner. In injury time of the first half, Kulusevski swooped in a brilliant cross that was headed perfectly by Richarlison into the bottom corner. 1-0!
Forest had a great chance to equalise when Anthony Elanga cross was volleyed over by Boly. In the 65th minute, Turner played a terrible ball to Kulusevski who dribbled on before hitting a powerful shot past Turner and into the net. 2-0! It got bad for Tottenham when Yves Bissouma studded Yates and the referee pulled out a red card, The Lilywhites were down to 10 men. Gibbs-White swooped in a great cross that was headed by Toffolo which was saved by the diving Vicario onto the post. Forest had another chance to score when Nico Williams’s shot smacked the post.
