However for Liverpool, Man Utd equalised in the 50th minute when Quansah made a poor clearance leading to Bruno Fernandes hitting a superb long-range shot past Kelleher and into the net 1-1! Liverpool nearly retook the lead when Diaz passed to Nunez whose cross didn’t find anyone in the penalty area. The Red Devils took the lead for the first time in this match when Wan Bissaka passed to Mainoo who turned and then hit a fantastic shot past Kelleher and into the net. 2-1! Liverpool had another close chance to score when Diaz’s shot was saved by Onana before Salah fired the ball over the bar. It was not the end of the match though. In the 84th minute the Reds were awarded a penalty when Harvey Elliot went down in the box. Salah stepped up and scored. 2-2!

Man United ended the match with 38% of possession with Liverpool getting 62%.The Man of the Match Award went to Alexis Mac Allister with a 6.56 rating.

MATCH OF THE WEEK: Aston villa 1-0 man city

Aston Villa beat Manchester City on Sunday to win their 4th consecutive win. In a tight match Matty Cash scored a spectacular volley from a corner and the Villains did brilliantly throughout to stop Erling Haaland and Man City.
