Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Germany and Denmark. The score was 2-0. The game started with a goal for Germany when Toni Kroos played a beautiful cross in the box that was headed in by Nico Schlotterbeck. However, after a VAR check the referee chose to disallow it because Kimmich pushed a Danish player when the corner was taken. The Germans nearly scored again when Kimmich’s shot was tipped over the bar by Kasper Schmeichel. Germany had another close chance to score when Raum played a brilliant cross into the box that was headed by Havertz and saved by Schmeichel. The Danish nearly scored too when Thomas Delaney played a super pass to Rasmus Hojlund, whose shot was saved by Neuer. Denmark thought they had scored, when Andersen hit a ferocious volley into the bottom corner, but it was not to be. The Referee disallowed it because Delaney was offside. It got worse for Denmark, because a minute later when Andersen had appeared to have touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area. The Referee awarded the penalty. Havertz stepped up…… and placed the ball past Kasper Schmeichel! 1-0! Denmark had another close chance to score when Hojlund hit a ferocious shot that was saved by Manuel Neuer. CLOSE! Germany had another close chance when Kai Havertz chipped the ball just wide of the post. It seemed that eventually, Germany were going to score. In the 68th minute, Schlotterbeck played a beautiful cross to Jamal Musiala who placed the ball past the keeper and into the bottom right corner. 2-0! Germany nearly tripled their lead when Wirtz played a super pass to Havertz who was denied again by Kasper Schmeichel.
Germany ended the game with 54.7% of possession, beating, Denmark’s 45.3%. The Man of The Match Award went to Jamal Musiala with a 7.86 rating.
