Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between England and Slovakia. The score was 2-1. The game started with a chance for Slovakia when Haraslin’s cross was cleared by Guehi. Slovakia scored in the 25th minute when Strelec played a beautiful pass to Schranz who placed the ball past Pickford and into the bottom corner. 0-1! England thought they had equalised when Tripper crossed the ball to Foden who tapped the ball into the net, but it was not to be. The Referee said that Foden was offside, and after a few VAR checks, the goal would be disallowed. England nearly got caught out again when Bellingham passed the ball straight to Tupta who hit a swerving long range effort that went just wide of the post. CLOSE! The Three Lions had another close chance to score when Foden played a beautiful cross into the box that was headed on by Kane but it went just wide of the post. England had another chance when Saka passed to Declan Rice who hit a powerful shot off the post that rebounded off Kane and over the bar. CLOSE! Then in the 90+5 minute, Kyle Walker threw the ball in the box form a throw in that was flicked on by Guehi and bicycle-kicked by Bellingham. His bicycle- kick went past Dubravka and into the bottom corner. 1-1! In the 91st minute, Cole Palmer crossed the ball in from a freekick that was pushed away by the keeper, then Eze went for the spectacular which was miscued then it got to Toney who flicked it on to Kane and he wouldn’t miss from there. The Three Lions are ahead 2-1! Slovakia tried to hit back with a dangerous cross played in but cleared by the strong England defense. In the last minute Slovakia attempted to make a comeback but it was a tame header which got into Pickford’s gloves. You could see the joy and delight in Pickford’s face as England had pulled it off and were in the next round of this prestigious competition
