Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Liverpool and Ipswich. The game started with a chance for Ipswich when Hutchinson drove past the Liverpool defence before hitting a powerful shot was that was denied by Alisson. The Reds had a close chance too when Alexander Arnold hit a powerful first time shot that went over the bar. The Reds attacked again and nearly score when Jota passed to Alexander-Arnold who passed to Luis Diaz whose shot went over the bar. Yet another chance that slipped through Liverpool’s grip! The chances kept flowing for Liverpool in the second half when Szoboszlai and Mac Allister’s shots blocked before Alexander-Arnold cross was headed just wide by Diogo Jota. Were Liverpool ever going to find a way through? In the 60th minute, Alexander-Arnold played another brilliant pass to Mo Salah who passed to Diogo Jota who fired his shot past the keeper and into the net. 0-1! It got worse for Ipswich when Szoboszlai played a lovely through ball to Mo Salah who placed the ball past the keeper. 0-2! It nearly became 3-0 when Mo Salah’s shot was saved before Conor Bradley’s shot was blocked.
The Reds ended the game with 61.8% of possession, beating Ipswich Town’s 38.2%. The Man of the Match Award went to Mo Salah with a 8.08 rating.
