Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the opening of the Premier League starting with Manchester United vs Fulham. The game started with a chance for Fulham when Tete went on a run before curling a shot that was just tipped over the bar by Andre Onana. The Red Devils had a great chance to score after a mistake by Bernd Leno led to Casemiro passing to Bruno Fernandes whose shot was denied by the big Fulham keeper. CLOSE! Man Utd were nearly through again when Casemiro played a lovely through pass to Bruno Fernandes whose shot was denied again by Bernd Leno. CLOSE! Manchester United had another close chance when Rashford swivelled his way past the Fulham defence before laying a pass to Mason Mount whose shot was saved by Leno. It seemed that eventually the Reds would take the lead. In the 87th minute Zirkzee passed to Casemiro played a pass to Garnacho who fired a first time pass in to Zirkzee who placed the ball past Leno and into the bottom corner of the net. 1-0! Man Utd nearly got their second on the match when Rashford passed to Garnacho who somehow blasted his shot wide of the post.

Man Utd ended the match with 55.4% of possession beating Fulham’s 44.6%. The Man of the Match Award went to Zirkzee with a 6.95 rating.
