The game started with a chance for Spurs when Romero’s volley was smacked away by the gloves of Pickford. Tottenham soon had another chance when Odobert passed to Son whose shot deflected off an Everton player and was saved tipped over by Jordan Pickford. It seemed that Spurs would soon find the breakthrough. In the 14th minute Kulusevski dribbled passed a couple of Everton players before laying the ball of too Yves Bissouma who first-timed it past Pickford and into the top corner. 1-0! It got worse for Everton when Son stole the ball of Pickford and placed it into the net. 2-0! Everton had a close chance in the second half when Lindstrøm hit a powerful shot that was saved by Vicario. CLOSE! Spurs tripled their lead when Maddison played a brilliant cross to Romero who headed it past Pickford and into the net. 3-0! Tottenham Hotspur finished it off when Micky Van De Ven passed to Son who fired the ball in between Pickford’s legs and into the net. 4-0!

Tottenham ended the match with 70.5% beating Everton’s 29.5%.
