Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Liverpool and Chelsea. The score was 2-1. The game started with a yellow card for Tosin when he fouled Diogo Jota after Mohamed Salah played a superb pass to the Portuguese International. Liverpool attacked again and were awarded a penalty when Colwill fouled Curtis Jones in the penalty area. Salah stepped up….. and smashed the ball past Sanchez to give Liverpool the lead. 1-0! The Blues did not give up and later on in the match, Caicedo played a super through-ball pass to Nicolas Jackson whose shot hit the crossbar. CLOSE! The Reds were nearly awarded another penalty when Curtis Jones had seemed to be tripped up by Robert Sanchez but after an onfield check the penalty was disallowed. Chelsea had another big chance when Madueke passed to Palmer whose shot went just over the bar.
In the second half, however, the Blues equalised when Caicedo played another brilliant pass to Jackson who stayed onside and placed the ball past Kelleher and into the net. 1-1! Liverpool did not give up however and just after that goal, Salah played a superb pass to Curtis Jones who placed the ball past Robert Sanchez. 2-1!
The Blues ended with 57.5% of possession, beating Liverpool’s 42.5%. The Man of the Match Award went to Curtis Jones with a 7.98 rating.
