Spurs made it 3 in emphatic fashion when Djed Spence played a brilliant ball to Dominic Solanke who turned past one defender, before hitting a powerful shot that went past Bayindir and into the left bottom corner. 3-0! Now this game could have ended like this but we were about to see to controversy, or in this match, errors. Man Utd had another great chance when Dalot played a brilliant cross to Joshua Zirkzee, whose header was clawed away by Fraser Forster. This turned out be the last good thing Forster did for Spurs in this match. First, he played a horrible back pass to Bruno Fernandes, who passed straight to Zirkzee who placed it into a empty net. 3-1! Next, he let the ball slide and Amad took control of the whole situation to make it 3-2! Manchester United had another great chance when Garnacho passed to Fernandes, who passed to Mazaroui who cut inside and hit a curving shot that went just wide of the post. CLOSE! Spurs took the lead again when Son Heung Min took a corner …… and scored it! 4-2! The Red Devils got one more goal back when Amad played a brilliant corner kick to Jonny Evans who headed the ball past Fraser Forster and into the net. 4-3! However, that was all the action for this game as Tottenham made it to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Manchester United ended the match with 53.9% of possession, beating Tottenham’s 46.1%. The Man of the Match Award went to Dominic Solanke for his 2 goals. He got a 7.47 rating. Tottenham play Liverpool next in the Premier League on Super Sunday and Manchester United play host to Bournemouth.
