Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Tottenham and Newcastle. The score was 1-2. The game started with a goal for Spurs when Johnson passed to Pedro Porro who played a brilliant cross to Dominic Solanke who timed his header into the far corner. 1-0! However, Newcastle equalized quickly after when Guimaraes passed to Gordon, who hit a piercing shot into the far corner. 1-1! The Magpies had another chance to score when Alexander Isak passed to Anthony Gordon whose shot was saved by Austin. Newcastle had another great chance when Murphy played a lovely pass to Alexander Isak who couldn’t find the finish, as he dragged it wide of the post. Isak took his chance quickly after when Murphy again played a great pass and Isak tapped it home. 1-2!
In the second half, Spurs had a huge chance to score when Kulusevski passed to Sarr whose shot was saved by Dubravka before Brennan Johnson’s rebound hit the post. Tottenham had another huge chance when Son passed to Maddison from a corner and Maddison hit a curling shot that went just wide of the post. CLOSE! How were Spurs not taking these chances. Again, they had another chance when Kulusevski passed to Johnson who hit a cross right through everyone before it came to Reguilon who hit another cross right through everyone again. Spurs had another chance when Kulusevski played a brilliant cross into the box that was flicked on by Solanke and his header went just over the bar. Newcastle had a good chance to triple their advantage when Joe Willock flicked it on to Harvey Barnes, whose shot was denied by Austin in goal. In the end it went Newcastle’s way and they went up to 35 points, 1 point from fourth placed Chelsea.
Tottenham ended the match with 56.8%, beating Newcastle’s 43.2%. The Man of the Match Award went to Anthony Gordon with an 8.07 rating. Spurs [lay host to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and Newcastle go to North London again, this time to face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup. Both Matches are live on Sky Sports.
