The Red Devils took the lead early in the second half, when Bruno Fernandes played the ball to Martinez, who hammered it past Allison and into the roof of the net. 0-1! The Reds equalised in quick fashion when Mac Allister played a lovely pass to Cody Gakpo who swivelled past one before firing a shot into the top corner. 1-1! There was some controversy later on when the ball had seemed to have touched De Ligt’s hand. After a VAR check, the penalty was awarded to Liverpool. Mo Salah stepped up ……. and hammered past Andre Onana. 2-1! Man Utd equalised 10 minutes later when Garnacho passed to Amad who placed it past Allison and into the bottom corner. 2-2! Liverpool had another chance to score when Andy Robertson played a brilliant cross from a corner that was flicked on by Mac Allister and then headed by Van Dijk and finally into Andre Onana’s arms. However, in the last few seconds of the match, Bruno Fernandes played a great pass to Joshua Zirkzee who passed it to Harry Maguire who blasted it over the bar. That was the last CHANCE!

Liverpool ended the match with 52.8%, with the Red Devils getting 47.2%. The Man of the Match Award went to Amad Diallo with a 6.76 rating. Liverpool face go to North London on Wednesday to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final and Man Utd face Arsenal in the FA Cup.
