Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the latest transfer rumours. Lately one that his been at the centre of attention is the pursuit for Alexander Isak. Newcastle have already rejected a 110 million offer for Alexander Isak, saying that their calculation for the Swedish striker is around 150 million which would definitely break the British transfer record. But now that we’ve seen the speculation around Alexnader Isak, we have to ask: why do Liverpool want him.

The answer isn’t very clear. The Reds have already signed Hugo Ekitike who was supposed to fill in for their striker problem and with Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez willing to fight for the places as striker buying a new striker would cause more of a problem. However, there are a couple of formations that may fit Liverpool’s plan if they sign the 25 year old.

They could try a 4-4-2 formation with Ekitike/ Nunez/ Isak/ Gakpo filling in the 2 striker roles with Wirtz and Salah going up the wings. Another formation they could try is the 4-2-1-3 which would only allow them to lay one striker up top, most likely being Isak with Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike taking turns up the wings and Florian Wirtz in the number 10 position. Another formation that may take place is the 4-2-2-2, which would allow 2 strikers and then 2 number 10s that would probably be Wirtz and Salah. The question is though ” Will Liverpool win the race for Isak?”
