Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today, I will be discussing the match between Leeds and Everton. The score was 1-0. The game started with a chance for Leeds when Gudmundsson passed to Wilfred Gnonto, who played a fabulous pass that deflected off an Everton defender and came to Piroe, whose shot was saved by Pickford. CLOSE! The home team had another chance to score when Piroe passed to Gudmundsson, who played a beautiful cross into the box that was fired over by Daniel James. Leeds had another close chance to score when Ampadu played a lovely long throw-in to Tanaka, who passed it back to Gnonto, who skipped past Alcaraz before hitting a tantalising shot that went just over the bar.

The second half started with another Leeds United chance when Tanaka played a lovely through-ball pass to Daniel James, who dribbled into the box before passing it to Wilfred Gnonto, who swiveled before firing a shot that hit the side-netting. The Toffees finally had a chance in this match when Dewsbury-Hall wriggled past Aaronson, before playing the ball to Alcaraz, who dribbled into the box before firing a shot that was comfortably saved by Lucas Perri. Everton brought themselves another chance when Dewsbury-Hall played a fantastic cross into the box that was headed over by O’Brien. The Peacocks had another brilliant chance to take the lead when Gudmundsson and Harrison played a lovely one-two before he crossed it into Aaronson, who flicked it on to Stach, who headed it on to Aaronson, who played it to Tanaka, who volleyed it over. It seemed that Leeds would soon make the breakthrough. There was VAR controversy later in the match when Stach hit a powerful shot that seemed to hit James Tarkowski’s hand. After a swift VAR check, the penalty was awarded. In the 84th minute, Nmecha stepped up and fired it past Jordan Pickford and into the bottom right-hand corner. 1-0! Leeds had carved out 3 points late, and I mean late in the match.

Leeds ended the match with 54.4% of possession, beating Everton’s 45.6%. The Man of the Match Award went to Tanaka with a 7.94 rating.
