Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Newcastle and Liverpool. The score was 2-3. The game started with a chance for Newcastle, when Harvey Barnes dribbled before playing a brilliant cross that was headed just over by Anthony Gordon. CLOSE! Liverpool scored when Jones passed to Cody Gakpo, who passed to Ryan Gravenberch, who dribbled before hitting a powerful shot into the bottom corner past Pope to give Liverpool the lead. 0-1! There was VAR controversy close to the end of the first half when Anthony Gordon seemed to have slid right into Van Dijk. After a swift VAR check, the yellow card became red, causing Anthony Gordon’s 3rd red card of his Newcastle career.

Early in the second half, the Reds took the lead when Ekitiké passed to Cody Gakpo, whose shot was blocked before he passed it back to Hugo Ekitike, who first-timed into the corner. 0-2! The Magpies got a goal back in the 57th minute, when Tino Livramento played a beautiful cross into the box that was headed on by Bruno Guimaraes into the bottom corner. 1-2! Newcastle scored again in the 88th minute, when Nick Pope played a brilliant pass straight to William Osula, who tapped it past Allison and into the net. 2-2! CRAZY! However, Champions never give up, not until the end. In the 90+10 minute, Gravenberch passed to Conor Bradley, who passed to Chiesa, who played it to Salah, who passed it to Szoboszlai, who dummied it straight to Rio Ngumoha who smashed it past Nick Pope and into the corner. 2-3! BRILLIANT! AT THE VERY LAST!

The game ended with Newcastle having 37.6% of possession, Liverpool having 62.4%. The Man of the Match Award went to Rio Ngumoha. Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield and Newcastle go to Elland Road to face Leeds.
