Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Wets ham and Brentford. The game started with a chance for Brentford when Kayode played a brilliant cross into the box that was headed on by Ouattara, and hammered against the crossbar by Igor Thiago. CLOSE! The Bees had another chance to take the lead early on when Kayode played another fabulous cross that was headed on by Damsgaard and just tipped around the post by Alphonse Areola. It seemed that soon enough that Brentford would find the breakthrough. In the 43rd minute, Brentford scored when Yarmoliuk played a brilliant pass that found Schade who controlled before volleying it to Igor Thiago who smashed it into the net. 0-1! The home side had a chance to equalise late in the first half when Soucek passed it to Bowen who swivelled before hitting a powerful shot that was clawed by Caoimhin Kelleher. The Bees nearly scored again in the first half when Collins booted up straight to Thiago who headed it down to Damsgaard who played a lovely through-ball to the Brentford striker who chipped it over the diving keeper. However it wasn’t to be because Igor Thiago was in a offside position and the goal was disallowed.
In the second half, the away side nearly scored again when Kayode took on Diouf before cutting inside and playing a fantastic cross that was headed straight onto the crossbar again, only this time by Kevin Schade. Brentford looked completely on top in this match while West Ham were really wasting away. In the 90 + 4 minute, the Bees doubled their lead when Kelleher played a long pass straight to Lewis-Potter who played it to Jensen who took a touch before firing into the top corner to secure Brentford’s first away win of the season. 0-2! GAME OVER!
The game ended with Brentford having 56.3% of possession, beating the Hammers’ 43.7%. the Man of the Match Award went to Igor Thiago for his fabulous goal and his involvement throughout the game.
What next: West Ham go to Elland Road to face Leeds as Nuno still searches for the first win of his managerial career at West Ham while Brentford invite Liverpool to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday. You can watch both of these matches on Sky Sports.
