Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Arsenal and Liverpool. The score was 0-0. The game started with a chance for Arsenal when Odegaard played it across to Saka who drove at Van Dijk and Kerkez before curling a powerful shot that went straight into the arms of Allison. Liverpool had a chance to shock the leaders later on in the first half when Bradley played a lovely through-ball that was supposed to go to Frimpong but bounced to Saliba who passed it straight back to Raya who fumbled it straight to Conor Bradley who hit a powerful dipping shot that bounced off the crossbar and out before Gakpo’s shot was blocked by Jurrien Timber. CLOSE! There was some more action still left in this first half when Jeremie Frimpong seemed to have gone down from Hincapie in the penalty box but play resumed. The Referee waved it away and even after a quick check it wasn’t deemed worthy of a penalty. Arsenal attacked again and nearly score when Gyokeres and Timber played a lovely one-two and Timber whipped in the box and it came out for Declan Rice whose tame volley was collected easily by Allison.

In the second half, there were more appeals from the away supporters for a penalty when Wirtz danced into the penalty area before going down by Leandro Trossard. The Referee however again waved it away. Dominik Szoboszlai had a huge chance to take the lead from a free-kick but his powerful strike went just over the bar. There was more action in stoppage time at the end of the match when Bradley seemed to try and kick the ball away and he ended up rolling his ankle. Gabriel Martinelli didn’t take any sympathy on the hurt Bradley and tried to push him off the pitch, causing a stir of players coming over to try and deal with the problem. Martinelli was given a yellow card, as well as Konate and Bradley was stretchered off, in serious pain. We all wish him the best of luck. Martinelli apologised for his gesture later after the match.

Arsenal ended the match with 47.6% of possession, beating Liverpool’s 52.4%. The Man of the Match Award went to Conor Bradley with a 7.25 rating. What next? Arsenal go to Portsmouth in the FA Cup, before making the move from North to West London to play Chelsea in a Carabao Cup semi-final showdown. Liverpool host Barnsley in the FA Cup before going straight back to the Premier League next weekend to invite Burnley to Anfield.
