Chelsea were pushing for a reply but didn’t get it when Enzo Fernandez passed it to Marc Cucurella who made a creative cross to Malo Gusto and he played it to Joao Pedro but Van Dijk heroically got there to shut the attack down. Close! It was some brilliant play by Chelsea when Caicedo lofted a ball to Cucurella who hit a snap shot that was saved by Mamardashvilli. Chelsea received a free kick that was taken by Enzo who meant a cross but it ended up in the back of the net. Astonishing! 2-1! Chelsea were in again when Caicedo made a cross that found Enzo who was denied by Mamardashvilli.

Caicedo again made a cross that found Cucurella who squared it for Joao Pedro who was tackled and it was left for Palmer and he let it rip into the top corner .2-1! Or is it. VAR has found that Cucurella was offside. Therefore the goal was disallowed . 1-1! Jeremy Frimpong took Cucurella on and passed it Szoboszlai who lobbed it to Gakpo then he headered it to Curtis Jones and the ball ended at the back of net. Offside flag went up. 1-1 still.

Grvenberch plays a ball to Frimpong who has his cross blocked but it seems to hit Santos’s hand . Liverpool play on and Gravenberch and he left it for Szoboszlai who hit a powerful shot saved by Jorgensen. Close! And now Liverpool will appeal for a penalty but the referee does not agree. Gakpo plays it for Szoboszlai who strikes the post. So Close! One last attack for Liverpool when Szoboszlai launches it in from a corner and Van Dijk header hits the post. He is protesting that he was held onto but the ref says no.

MATCH OF THE WEEK: Aston villa 1-0 man city

Aston Villa beat Manchester City on Sunday to win their 4th consecutive win. In a tight match Matty Cash scored a spectacular volley from a corner and the Villains did brilliantly throughout to stop Erling Haaland and Man City.
