Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Fulham and Chelsea. The score was 2-3. Chelsea took the lead within 31 seconds when a poor pass from the Fulham backline led Palmer to play a brilliant through ball to Joao Pedro who dinked the ball over the diving Bernd Leno. 0-1! Fulham started to grow into the match after that early blow and had a chance to score when Josh King hit a fizzling strike that was smacked away by Sanchez. The 19 yr. old had another chance to score and this time he took it when Castagne and the young boy played a perfect one-two before hitting a low strike that caught out Sanchez at his near post. 1-1! Chelsea nearly scored again when Palmer dazzled past a couple of Fulham defenders before playing an accurate pass to Joao Pedro who hit a brilliant volley that went just wide of the post. CLOSE! The Blues took control of the momentum and scored only 12 minutes later when Gusto passed to Palmer who turned away from his marker before playing it to Lacroix who turned and twisted past the Fulham defence before cutting it back into the danger zone for Morgan Rogers to comfortably score. 1-2!

In the second half, Chelsea kept up the momentum and scored again when Joao Pedro held up the ball against 2 Fulham defenders before playing it Cole Palmer who hit a first time shot that fizzed through the keeper’s legs. 1-3! Debut goals was starting to become a regular thing this season, and Fulham joined in on the act when Castagne’s low shot was saved by Sanchez only for Gonzalo Garcia to header it into the bottom corner to give the Cottagers an interest. 2-3!. Fulham had late chances ta the end through Robinson and Muniz but it never gave the something to worry about and Chelsea prevailed in their first game.

The home side ended the game with 61.9% of possession beating the Blues’ 38.8%. The Man of the Match Award went to Cole Palmer after his dazzling display. What next? Chelsea and Fulham both play on Thursday against Luton and Wimbledon for a place in the 3rd round of the EFL Cup.
