Hello and welcome to mylivefootballnews.com. Today I will be talking about the match between Sunderland and Chelsea. The score was 2-1. The game started with a chance for Sunderland when they played it brilliantly out of their box to Enzo Le Fee, who dribbled forward before hitting a powerful shot that was smacked away by Sanchez. CLOSE! Hato’s blocked pass came out to Angulo, whose curling shot was caught by Sanchez. Sunderland took the lead in the 25th minute, when Roefs blasted it out to O’Nien, who headed it onto Hume, who hit a dipping volley that curled into the bottom corner. 1-0! Sunderland nearly scored again when Mukiele passed it to Xhaka, who passed it to Le Fee, who played a fantastic through ball to Brian Brobbey, who was one-on-one with the keeper, but Sanchez’s presence deemed to be too much for the striker, and the Chelsea goalkeeper denied him. Sunderland doubled their lead in the 50th minute when Geertruda played it through to Le Fee, who then cut the ball back across the six-yard box to Brobbey, whose shot flicked off Mal Gusto and into the net. 2-0! Chelsea got a goal back quite brilliantly when Neto passed it to Palmer, who strode forward before a low, powerful shot that slid across the grass past Roefs and into the bottom corner to give Chelsea hope. That hope was short-lived, however, when Fofana held on to Isidor and was awarded a red card. After that red card, the Blues were unable to get back into the game. The game ended 2-1. Sunderland was in EUROPE!
The game ended with Sunderland having 43.9%, with Chelsea having 56.1%. The Man of the Match Award went to Xhaka with an 8.39 rating. What’s next: unfortunately, we have reached the end of the Premier League season. However, we will have more articles on the rest of the League games and some also on the European finals to come and the big one this summer: the World Cup. See you soon!
